During Monday’s Fashion Police series finale, Melissa Rivers shows viewers just how unique of a relationship she had with mom Joan Rivers.
Joan, a former host of the E! program critiquing celebrity style, died in 2014 at the age of 81 following a surgery on her vocal cords.
As seen in the clip exclusively debuted by USA TODAY, Melissa exercises some of her inherited wit when introducing a montage of comical moments with her mom. “I cannot tell you what a dream it was to work with my mother,” the Fashion Police executive producer said, “because, not only did she really love me, she knew me so well.”
“Who’s first, Miranda?” Joan asked her daughter in the NSFW clip, intentionally stumbling over her name. And no, Joan your only daughter’s name isn’t Morinda, either.
Joan’s light-hearted jabs continued.
“Enjoy your daughter now, I’m just telling you,” Joan told guest Christina Milian, “’cause they change. “One day she’ll be your boss, she’ll make you live in the basement. She’ll (expletive) at you for having sex tapes with Ray J.”
